Our mission is to connect, support and give voice to every business in Norfolk’ and to deliver that we have an ambitious 5-year growth strategy that centres on growing our membership, diversifying our offer and ensuring continued financial stability.
To achieve this, we need guidance and support from a dedicated group of Chambers members that volunteer their time on our Board. People who share our passion for Norfolk’s businesses and keen to ensure that all Chamber activities and actions support our mission. Key to that support is the role of Treasurer.
‘Ready Steady Grow’
Norfolk Chambers has been on a journey of transformation in recent years that is culminating in a modern, culturally and digitally relevant organisation, fit for another 120+ years. Starting in 2022, our 5-year plan capitalises on the huge modernisation efforts and changes of the last 5 years and enables revenue growth from increased membership, new programmes and contracts and an ever-evolving offer to our members.
Over this period, we will achieve further relevance with greater engagement; digital enhancements; a strong member focus; and the ability to provide our members with the tools to digitally showcase their business and articulate their needs.
Our Board members help influence and shape the strategic direction of the Norfolk Chambers. They are representative of the Norfolk business community in terms of sector, geography and scale.
To help us deliver on our ambition, we are seeking a senior financial leader to be our Treasurer, joining our Board and chairing our Finance & Risk Committee alongside monitoring the organisation’s finances, assisting auditors and acting as a ‘critical friend’ to our Senior Management Team.
In addition to being our Treasurer, as a full member of the Board, our Senior Management Team will look to you for insight into the strategic direction of the company. A full role profile can be found here.
The deadline for applications to be received is 5pm Friday 16 May 2025, and interviews will take place w/c Monday 9th June 2025. Those shortlisted will be notified of interview by the end of May.
