What is Chambers East?

Chambers East brings together five Chambers of Commerce in the East of England:

Think of Chambers East as your regional business policy taskforce. It’s a partnership of five independent Chambers of Commerce working together to tackle shared challenges and opportunities.

Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk Chambers continue to serve their local members with dedicated support and expertise. But when regional issues start to impact business growth — from poor transport links to skills shortages or trade barriers, we come together as Chambers East to deliver region-wide solutions that are stronger, faster, and more impactful through collaboration.

Through Chambers East, you’re connected to thousands of businesses across the region, from micro-enterprises to major corporations. This isn’t just about numbers, it’s about collective influence. When we speak to Westminster about infrastructure investment or skills funding, we represent the entire Eastern economy. That gets attention. And this is what gets us results.

We focus on the issues that matter most to your business growth:

  • Fighting for the transport connections and digital networks that keep your business moving and online.
  • Shaping the skills system to help you find, keep, and grow the talent your business needs.
  • Breaking down trade barriers and opening doors to new markets and opportunities.

While we stay politically neutral, we maintain strong relationships across all parties and levels of government. Your business challenges become regional priorities, backed by data, driven by collective voice, and delivered through persistent advocacy.

And the best part… If you’re a member of your local Chamber, you’re already part of Chambers East. No extra fees, no additional membership, just amplified influence when regional issues affect your business success.
