Utilising content from our successful ‘Activate‘ series, which over the past 6 years has helped 100’s of aspiring entrepreneurs across Norfolk and Suffolk, Build a Business in a Day helps the time-poor and idea-rich to develop an idea and turn it into a feasible and sustainable venture.

Build a Business in a Day helps you to develop your idea and your business in an accelerated way. Using the Lean Startup approach, we help you to gain customer insight and use it to influence decision making and create a business that is wanted by, and works for, the customer; ensuring the success and potential of your venture.

What Will We Cover:

Over the course of the day, we will cover a variety of topics in a collaborative and exciting way to help you explore your ideas and turn them into real actions, including:

• What makes a great idea – and how to make yours work
• Who your customers are – for today and for tomorrow
• How to market your business – creating an effective sales process
• What your typical day looks like – and removing the risks
• How you will grow – building a business model ready to scale
• What your future looks like – and how you can get there
• If you should register – all the pros and cons

Who Should Attend:

Using dynamic interactive tools that benefit individuals and businesses at varying stages of their development, Build a Business in a Day has been designed to help:

• Anyone with a business idea they’d like to explore further.
• Anyone with a side-business/part-time business that wants to make it their full-time work.
• A recently started business looking to connect to other local entrepreneurs and establish operations and strategy.
• An established business looking to add a new product or service to their range.

What Will You Get:

We’ve all been on training and events where you leave with high hopes of implementing something into your business, home, or general life, but lose the motivation to do so. In Build a Business in a Day you will get the following to make sure you know how to take your idea forwards:

• A copy of the slides from the day.
• The Build a Business in a Day ‘Toolkit’ – contains the tools provided on the day as well as other resources to continue your progress.
• ‘Strategic Action Cards’ – A Hethel Innovation-designed tool to help you turn your thoughts into realistic actions.
• Continued mentoring from the Hethel Innovation team (If you meet the eligibility criteria – see below).

Eligibility Criteria:

Build a Business in a Day is part of Hethel Innovation’s ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) project ‘Breakthrough’, which support aspiring entrepreneurs and SMEs in Norfolk and Suffolk, providing 12 hours of bespoke support to help businesses become more innovative, productive and competitive.

Following the completion of Build a Business in a Day, businesses that meet the following criteria will gain access to a further 6 hours of support:

• You are based in Norfolk or Suffolk, UK
• You are a business that employs less than 250 people.
• You are a business with a turnover of no more than £41m.

Hethel Innovation is an EU-funded business support organisation, providing support to Norfolk and Suffolk’s business environment to innovate and become more productive and competitive as a result.
