We run each of these two modules as half day sessions, but “back-to-
back”. Awareness in the morning, and Management in the
afternoon. This allows you to pick either module, or both if needs
be, to satisfy your needs.
Asbestos Awareness – 26th February 9am – 12.30pm
– Course Objectives
– State the basic origin and purpose of asbestos
– Appreciate the impact of asbestos on human health, and consequences of non-compliance for the business
– State the common uses of asbestos in buildings, and recognise suspected asbestos materials
Asbestos Management – 26th February 1pm – 4.30pm
– Identify duty holders, and their legal responsibilities
– Understand the two different types of asbestos survey and key features of each
– Interpret the contents of an asbestos survey report
– State the purpose and key features of an asbestos management plan
– State the key features of an emergency action plan
