Lovewell Blake has been named as the top UK firm of chartered accountants for service to charities in a national survey which included all of the major national players.

The East Anglian firm, which has a dedicated charities team, was one of only four operators in the country to score a 100 per cent satisfaction rating in charity expertise and overall service, in the annual Charity Audit Survey of 1,349 charities across the UK.

Lovewell Blake was named the number one firm for overall service in the study, carried out by Charity Finance magazine, and in the top five for charity expertise.

Mark Proctor, partner at Lovewell Blake and head of the firm’s charities team, said, “To be recognised in a major national survey as one of the UK’s top accountancy firms in the charitable sector is a major achievement, and especially since the study focussed on satisfaction ratings from the charities themselves.

“Our dedicated charities team really understands the needs of the charitable sector and the challenges that charities face, and so are able to give really good quality advice to enable them to achieve their charitable objectives.

“Charities are facing increasing challenges, including cuts in statutory funding, growing demand for their services, an increasingly competitive fundraising environment, and cost pressures due to increases in the National Living Wage, employer pension contributions and stricter safeguarding rules.

“The Charity Finance magazine survey clearly shows that Lovewell Blake is up there with the very best of specialist charity accountancy firms in the UK.”

The Charity Audit Survey is carried out annually by Charity Finance magazine.  It covered 1,349 charities with a combined income of over £30 billion.
