Member Event: Unlocking Norfolk’s Potential

Birketts are hosting this free breakfast seminar to allow businesses to engage with Norfolk County Council and others about the need to improve transport in the region.

The Norwich Northern Distributor Road has the potential to bring £1.3bn of economic benefits to Norfolk, helping businesses in the Greater Norwich area to make a significant contribution to the national economy.

Norfolk County Council’s Director of Environment, Transport and Development, Mike Jackson will join us to present at this seminar and look at the following points:

Investment in transportation infrastructure and the link to business growth Reduction of traffic pressures in the city centre and ring roads Benefits to the market towns in Broadland and North Norfolk offered by the NDR Access to Norwich International Airport and the need to follow-up improvement of the A47. Simon Gray, CEO of the East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) will also give a short presentation on the effect the improvements in the region’s transport will have for energy companies based in Norwich and Great Yarmouth, looking at the implications for the growing off-shore and energy sectors from a regional point of view.

Transport companies will also be represented on the morning to answer questions.
