Book NowThe University of East Anglia (UEA) are sponsoring and taking part in the upcoming AI Festival organised by BT and Orbital Media. Spread out over two days, the festival will explore the implications of AI for the future of business, skills and employment.
Prof Gerard Parr (School of Computing Sciences) will be giving a keynote on 25 February (1-1:30) looking at ‘lifting the smog surrounding AI exemplar challenges and opportunities.’
Also, on 25 February (2:10-2:55), UEA’s Prof Anne-Marie Minihane (Norwich Medical School), Dr Beatriz de la Iglesia (School of Computing Sciences) and Dr Saber Sami (Norwich Medical School) will each give a short presentation on their research followed by a panel discussion.
Google, Facebook and BT are some of the many leading technology companies set to share their knowledge and insights. Together they will cover the role of AI in a variety of industries including agriculture, healthcare, energy, and fast moving consumer goods. Speakers include former NASA scientist, Peter Scott, who worked for the space agency’s famed Jet Propulsion Laboratory, who will be talking about the future of AI and technology.
