Our Masterclasses aim to give you a good introductory understanding of issues underpinning some of our more important financial and business decisions.

Our Octobersession looks at issues around mergers, acquisitions and sales, in particular at ways of maximising value in preparation for a transfer of ownership.

The first half of the Masterclass will focus on business issues and include:

Building a business someone will buy Maximising sale value and avoiding loss creating acquisitions The sale process

After a short break we will look at personal succession issues, including:

Creating personal wealth alongside business development Building security for future generations The impact of the new pension freedoms on succession strategies

Each session will last around 1 1/2hours with questions and be of interest to business leaders considering either sales or acquisitions.

Sessions will take place at 8.15am, 12.15pm and 6.15pm at the UEA Enterprise Centre, University Drive, Norwich, NR4 7TJ.

About the Speaker

Richard Ross is an experienced presenter with a growing reputation for an engaging and informative style.

He holds an MBA, a Masters in Wealth Management, a Graduate Diploma in Economics and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment, a Chartered Financial Planner and has studied experimental economics as a post-graduate student. He regularly comments on financial issues for BBC Radio.
