North Norfolk District Council works actively with local schools to promote employer engagement and career opportunities. The council supports North Walsham High School’s ongoing business mentor scheme designed to inspire pupils to increase personal aspiration and develop employability skills. Research shows that mentoring has benefits for students’ attainment and employers’ future recruitment. Each mentor will have regular contact with approximately 6-8 students starting from Year 9. Students will gain an understanding of what is required in the workplace and will gain knowledge about your organisation.
