By issuing contracts of employment employers are complying with their legal duty and are also setting out the expectations of both parties from the beginning of the employment relationship.

• the clauses that should be included to comply with the legal minimum requirements and those clauses which provide employers with as much flexibility and protection as possible; and
• making changes to the contract of employment
