Business Succession – Passing the Baton

Guest Speaker Iain Murrell from Price Bailey’s Corporate Finance team will be joining Richard Ross to present this month’s seminar on Business Succession planning.

The Seminar will give you a valuable insight into the business transfer process and be especially useful for people who are:

• Thinking of acquiring other businesses
• Thinking of selling a business
• Thinking of passing a business on to the next generation
• Thinking of building real value in a business

Iain will be giving an overview of SME valuation techniques and theory along with an accountant’s perspective on what leads to a successful business transfer.

Richard will be looking at non-financial factors that may give a better indication of future potential. Drawing on first-hand research conducted at the UEA, we will argue that addressing cultural issues and creating appropriate internal and external structures are important elements in preparing a business for sale or transfer.

We expect each seminar to last around an hour and a half with a further 30 minutes for questions and discussion.

A light lunch or breakfast will be available. The seminar is free of charge but places are limited.
