Professor Fiona Lettice talks about the Productivity East on the occasion of it’s official opening and how the new facility can help businesses.
UEA’s £7.4 million, state-of-the-art Productivity East is a new regional hub for engineering, technology and management.
The engineers of the future are at the heart of Productivity East. We enable businesses in our region to work alongside our world-class researchers and students to discover practical solutions to current and future challenges. Together, our students, academics and businesses explore new ideas to develop prototype designs and create innovative products and services.
As well as investment from the UEA, Productivity East received a grant of £4.5m from the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership for Norfolk and Suffolk. The New Anglia Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (NAAME) and TechEast industry sector groups are key delivery partners.
