What is Chambers East?

Chambers East brings together four Chambers of Commerce in the East of England:

Jointly, we give voice to our members and their business communities by lobbying and influencing on their behalf to remove barriers to sustainable growth and campaigning for improvements that will help our business communities in the East of England to thrive, create more jobs and grow their local economies.

Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, Essex Chambers of Commerce, Norfolk Chambers of Commerce and Suffolk Chamber of Commerce are accredited to the British Chambers of Commerce and we have over 485 years of combined experience in supporting our local business communities.

We directly represent over 3,550 organisations, representing nearly 300,000 employees.  Our wider business reach across our region is over 75,000, via our websites and social media channels.  So we are ideally placed to lobby on behalf of businesses on a local, regional and national level.

The make-up of each Chamber of Commerce reflects our local business communities – we represent a wide range of businesses from micro (less than 10 employees) to large corporates (over 250 employees) across an extensive variety of sectors. All four Chambers of Commerce have dedicated teams that are directly employed to support Chamber members and the wider business communities.

Whilst Chambers of Commerce are apolitical, we have a long history of building strong working relationships with our local authorities and our MPs, designed to help them understand the needs and challenges being faced by the business community.   We regularly lobby on behalf of our members at Westminster and are ably supported by the British Chambers and the wider Chamber network.

We have a vast range of experience and knowledge and are here to connect, support and give voice to the Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk business communities.
