Join us for a day at the beautiful Holkham Estate to learn about their WONDER programme As part of our BCL series of events focussing on climate and sustainability, we are delighted to bring you this free-to-attend event at the wonderful Holkham Estate. An Overview from Peter Mitchell – Managing Director Sustainability and conservation are at the heart of Holkham, and I feel privileged to be part of such a unique, compassionate, and innovative estate at what is to be a significant period in its story. A little over a year ago we set out our vision and ambitions for Holkham – giving our future work direction and purpose. Sustainability and a pioneering spirit sit at the centre of this vision – a vision that has given way to the creation and launch of this sustainability strategy – WONDER. Come along to this event at the prestigious Holkham Hall and hear about how the team is building sustainability into their everyday work, both around the hall and through their conservation projects on the Estate and Reserve. Agenda

11:00am – Guests Arrive at The Lookout of Holkham National Nature Reserve where Tea/Coffee will be served in the Lookout Cafe and an introduction to the day will be given by Holkham Managing Director Peter Mitchell accompanied by Sue Penlington who is the Sustainability and Learning Manager

11:30am – Walk around the Reserve with Wardens Andy and Paul – stopping at various points to discuss specific areas of conservation and work (please wear suitable clothing as this will be outdoors)

12:30pm – Drive from Holkham Beach to Holkham Hall where you’ll be met by a member of staff who will direct you to the Lady Elizabeth Wing for Lunch and Networking

1:30pm – Sue Penlignton will give us an overview of their WONDER programme and the work that is happening at Holkham

2:00pm – Question and Answer session with Sue, Leigh Hitchcock General Manager of Holkham Enterprises and Jake Fiennes Head of Conservation. Followed by Networking.

3:00pm – Guests depart

* We highly recommend that you car share to Holkham Estate, there are also buses that run from Norwich to Fakenham where you can pick up the Coast Hopper to take you to Holkham Estate – please check the bus timetables.
