Our brand-new way of networking…

Chamber Co.nnects are network meetings for its members to network and chat with other businesses in a digital space.

We believe networking is key during difficult times to help with mental health, continuation of business and access to help and advice from peers. Each network meeting will have a guest speaker and will be focusing on a current topic.

Enjoy from the comfort of your own home with no early starts or commute and make sure to make a coffee and bring a smile to this online video meeting.

Who’s it for?

Business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, young businesses and anyone who wants to connect and engage with other businesses in the Norfolk area.

Topic

A Rollercoaster of Emotions – My reflections on my own fight to save my business

Ian’s presentation will be an open and honest reflection on the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on his business and what he believes they may face in the future.

He will describe his challenges and the rollercoaster of emotions that he has faced as a business owner, employing 80 people.

Ian will explain how Production Bureau was able to bring back 20 people from furlough, as they pivoted their business, from delivering live events and exhibitions around the world, and now creating them as virtual events.

He will also share what he feels they have done well and what he believes they could have done better.

If his own story helps one person, Ian will feel he has done something positive.

Guest Speaker

Ian Greenfield, Production Bureau

As a teenager Ian Greenfield was once told by a teacher that he was a waste of tax-payers money.

His mother died of breast cancer when he was 17 and his father subsequently suffered a mental breakdown which resulted in the failure of his business and the loss of their family home. There is no doubt in his mind, that these experiences gave Ian the drive to face any challenge with determination and compassion.

Ian founded Production Bureau in 1989 from his back bedroom and a garage. The business has grown every year since.

Their targeted turnover for 2020 was £10m.

Ian likes to support local charities, especially those that support young people and offer help to students looking to follow a career in the creative and events industry.

Ian describes himself as annoyingly nocturnal and a rejuvenated golfer.

Production Bureau is a multi-service communications agency that helps clients connect creatively with their audience, colleagues, or the world at large. Over thirty years they’ve gone from strength to strength, and their services now comprise creative services, exhibition & spatial design, technical production – all in-house.

They work across many sectors, including healthcare, finance, and automotive, and their clients are just as varied. Production Bureau are very proud that some employees have been with them right from the start. Whatever the brief, they relish the challenge – listening, advising, and delivering your project with their trademark know-how, talent, enthusiasm and drive.
