Here at Coleman Opticians, we’re committed to caring for our environment, both locally and globally. Thats why we’ve been volunteering with GoodGym over the last 12 months, helping out in our community with various tasks, from reminisent evenings at care homes to community gardening to litter picks. On this occasion, we’re heading to the shores of Great Yarmouth and working our way along the beach, litter pickers in hand! A cleaner beach will create a safer, more welcoming environment for the local and visiting communities and help reduce the amount of waste being left in the sea. Meeting at 11am on Great Yarmouth Beach, just behind the JoyLand Dinner, we’re planning to cover as much of Gt.Yarmouth beach and the general beach side area as possible. Although we’ll be collecting as much waste as possible, the thought is to be as visible as we can to try and encourage people to change their behaviors when it comes to leaving waste on the beach. We’d love to see whole families taking part, from young to old. Bags, gloves and pickers will be supplied. For anyone interested, we’ll likely have a game of mini-golf at Pirate Cove afterwards…as well as some fish and chips!

With the new government committed to supporting investment in the private rented sector, the demand for private rented property is the highest it has ever been. There has never been a better time to consider becoming a landlord, and many people are taking their financial futures into their own hands, and investing in bricks and mortar as part of their long term investment strategy. M+A Partners are joining Arnolds Keys and other property letting expert advisers to present two FREE Buy to Let Roadshows in June to help potential property investors learn more about investing in rental properties and the tax issues arising.
To provide you with the most comprehensive advice on all aspects of property investment and letting, we have teamed up with other property investment professionals, Arnold Keys Letting and Estate agents, Smith and Pinching Mortgage and Financial Advisors and Clapham and Collinge Solicitors to cover all aspects of the advice you will need to help you decide if property investment is right for you. Our evening seminars will offer you impartial help and advice on how to start and grow a lettings portfolio.
The speakers will be talking about different ways of raising finance, what to buy and where, how the properties should be presented and managed, legislation changes, tax implications, Landlord and Tenant law, pensions and anything else you might like to discuss.

Reel Big Fish was one of the legions of SoCal ska-punk bands to edge into the mainstream following the mid-’90s success of No Doubt and Sublime. Distinguished by their hyperkinetic stage shows, juvenile humour, ironic covers of new wave pop songs, and metallic shards of ska, the group cultivated an underground following that broke into the mainstream when their single “Sell Out” became a modern rock radio and MTV favourite. Reel Big Fish are supported by Lightyear and {Spunge}
Our open days offer you the chance to find out more about the innovative MBA Programme, look around our contemporary teaching facilities and meet current students, the MBA Programme Director and Course Leaders who will be there to answer your questions. Join the Norfolk Chamber for an afternoon of accessing specialist knowledge essential for any HR Professional or business owner.
This session will be covering the topic of Mental Health in the Workplace. Mental health is still one of the most misunderstood health issues by employers in the modern workplace. It often leads to hesitancy and uncertainty about how to help, and concern about managing employees suffering from such conditions. Oliver Brabbins and Robert Hickford will guide you through the considerations you must make, and the steps you can take, to best protect your business and manage the health of your employees.
Your guest speakers are:
Oliver Brabbins Following a successful career as an HR manager in both the public and private sector, Oliver trained as a barrister before converting to a solicitor, specialising in employment law. He is the head of the employment team at Steeles Law. Oliver excels in providing pragmatic, solution-based advice in an industrial relations context. His background provides him with a rare understanding of the role of the HR manager and his advice is designed to assist clients to achieve their objectives, rather than frustrate them in their efforts to run a business. Particularly highly regarded for his advocacy skills, Oliver represents clients at employment tribunals across the UK and the Employment Appeal Tribunal. As well as advocacy, Oliver has a special interest and expertise in advising on large scale reorganisations and redundancies, industrial relations and the TUPE Regulations.
Rob Hickford Referred to in the 2017 Legal 500 as a ‘Rising Star’, Robert advises businesses ranging from multi-national corporations to local SME’s on all aspects of employment law, including advising on corporate restructures, TUPE consultations, and defending employment tribunal claims. He also assists employers with immigration matters, including the process for sponsoring migrants to work in the UK. Recent work highlights include:
Advising a major food industry client on the restructure and transfer of employees across a multi-site operation with added TUPE complications.
Defence of a multi-respondent multi-claimant TUPE claim arising out of liquidation and insolvency.
Advising on obtaining and maintaining Tier 2 Visa Sponsorship status for numerous national and international organisations.
Defending a national organisation from allegations of discrimination and whistleblowing.
Open to all businesses. This event is sponsored and run by Steeles Law.
