Media Training (Press, Radio and TV) Workshop – Full Day

Media Training – How to Manage Media for Your Business A full day workshop to help participants define their message and maximise the chance of achieving positive publicity in the press, on radio and television. The course is suitable for business owners, managers or employees who are, or may be, required to undertake press and media interviews.

Course Objectives At the end of the sessions each participant will: • Have increased awareness of the opportunities for publicity in the press, on radio and TV • Know who to approach at press and media outlets • Know how to approach press and media outlets • Be able to identify what makes a good PR opportunity • Be able to plan for a press or media interview • Have had the opportunity to record radio and TV interviews with a journalist and receive feedback • Know how to plan for, and react to, negative publicity.

Workshop Evaluation

Participants will each receive a pack of specially written course support material and copies of their radio interviews as MP3 files.

Chamber Chats are fortnightly to allow businesses to network and chat with other businesses in a digital space.

We believe networking is key during difficult times to help with mental health, continuation of business and access to help and advice from peers. Enjoy from the comfort of your own home with no early starts or commute and make sure to make a coffee and bring a smile to this online video meeting.

What’s the format? We will be using Zoom to facilitate this virtual meeting of businesses. It will be introduced by Norfolk Chambers of Commerce, we will then ‘Go Round The Screen’ allowing business to highlight anything of importance, how they are coping and what support they may need. 

Who’s it for? Business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, young businesses and anyone who wants to connect and engage with other businesses in the Norfolk area. 

QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) Requalification – 2 day

Aims to update and requalify existing first aiders to the required level of skill and knowledge in first aid, in accordance with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Successful delegates will be awarded a certificate of competence accredited by Qualsafe Awards who are recognised by Ofqual. It is valid for three years.

Course Venue

Open courses are held regularly at our training venues in Norwich, Norfolk and Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Alternatively, courses can be arranged at your own site anywhere in the UK (subject to suitability).

Join Norfolk Chambers of Commerce for an online networking session to replace this the physical event of Two Hour Tuesday in King’s Lynn. We believe networking is key during difficult times to help with mental health, continuation of business and access to help and advice from peers. Enjoy from the comfort of your own home with no early starts or commute and make sure to make a coffee and bring a smile to this online video meeting. 

What’s the format? We will be using Zoom to facilitate this virtual meeting of businesses. It will be introduced by Harry Harris from Swarm Apprenticeships, Paul Ward from Solace Coaching  and Nicole Risby from Norfolk Chambers of Commerce. We will then ‘Go Round The Screen’ allowing a one minute for each business to highlight anything of importance. 

Who’s it for? Business owners, managers, entrepreneurs, start-ups, young businesses and anyone who wants to connect and engage with other businesses in King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Newbies are always welcome, whether it’s to our group or to networking in general.
