Cyber Security Staff Awareness Training
About this course
Almost half of all organisations in the UK fall victim to cyber security breaches every year, and over 80% of these involve some form of human error. These incidents often lead to personal data breaches, interruption to business through Ransomware, financial loss through invoice fraud and reputational damage, so ensuring your staff have the awareness to make informed security decisions is key to prevention and detection.
This is not your standard computer based training. It’s highly interactive with attendees working together in group exercises to deeper understand why cyber security breaches happen and how to spot them.
Delivered by our experienced security consultants who have a wealth of real world experience this training will be of value to both your business and your employees personally.

Offshore Wind Week- East Anglia
EEEGR is delighted to be able to announce that it will, once again, be working with RenewableUK, the main offshore wind operators in our region and other stakeholders in celebrating Offshore Wind Week with the bespoke East Anglian event taking place on November 22nd and 23rd at OrbisEnergy in Lowestoft.
Whilst the speaker line up is still being confirmed we will have updates on many of the projects under construction, those projects successfully secured a Contract for Difference (CfD) as well as those still in planning. Speakers will include ScottishPower Renewables, Statoil and Vattenfall. We will also here from local MP Peter Aldous on his views of how the sector has impacted upon his constituency in Waveney and his wider views on future development for offshore wind in the wider region.
Skills provision will also be high on the agenda with presentations and case studies from the regions apprentices, schools, colleges and universities as well as commercial skills providers.

Preparing for Cyber Essentials Training Course
About this course
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed, industry-supported scheme to help organisations protect themselves against common online threats by implementing key foundational technical security measures. It is backed by industry including the Federation of Small Businesses, the CBI and a number of insurance organisations which are offering incentives for businesses.
This one-day course is aimed at enabling businesses who wish to pursue a Cyber Essentials accreditation., using internal staff to prepare their business for the certification process.
The course is best suited to IT managers and staff who are tasked with helping prepare their business for a Cyber Essentials accreditation.
An understanding of key technical concepts such as Networking, Operating Systems and Systems Administration is required.
The course focuses on preparing your team for the Cyber Essentials Accreditation process and will ensure they understand:

About this Event
The coronavirus pandemic has created new issues to consider when managing workplace absence: employees who are shielding, reluctant to come back into the workplace or looking after vulnerable relatives. This workshop will give practical tips on how to deal with employee absence management, as well as the legal context. We will also look at how to handle short term and long term sickness absence and how to get the best from Occupational Health advisers.

Norfolk Higher Aspirations Scheme
Calling all brilliant women currently working in STEMM – we need you to inspire the next generation!
The Norfolk Higher Aspirations Scheme provides activities and events aimed at inspiring Norfolk sixth formers to aim high and reach their potential. So far we’ve run events based around: Veterinary Science, Medicine, Law, Social Work, Civil and Mechanical Engineering and Computing, Chemical and Biological Engineering and Teaching.
We are keen to repeat, and to add to these events this academic year and our first big focus will be on Women in STEMM – an event focusing on inspiring young women to aspire to careers in these fields by allowing them to meet and talk to amazing women.
The evening will combine people from the industry – as many different branches as possible – and University Departments or Apprenticeship representatives. After a quick welcome and introduction, the students to go to pre-selected ‘breakout groups’ where they can meet, hear from and ask questions of, women currently successfully working in these fields.
We are hoping to gather a brilliant group of women representing the following areas for breakout discussion groups:
Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Consultancy, Engineering – Energy production and supply, Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science
