Something Different for Networking- Focus on Networking Skills

Our June breakfast is back to Thursday’s and takes place on the 5th June!

Following on from our successful May Breakfast with MP George Freeman we are back to the tried and tested format of a knowledge sharing speaker!

We will be joined by Lorna Burroughes of Thrive who will faciltate a session looking at the how’s and whys of effective Business Networking

Our time is valuable – we need to network wisely- there are many groups out there all vying for our time, cash and attention!

Booking is essential, places cost £15 plus VAT & include unlimited drinks, a buffet breakfast and the opportunity to network with 30 other business professionals.

1. Mapping the maze of Health & Safety Legislation- including topics such as Manual Handling, COSHH, Ergonomics and work equipment- and how it re-lates to your business

2. How to ensure that your Health and Safety Policy is Effective including communicating it

3. Are your Risk Assessments ‘Suitable & Sufficient’

4. Hot Topics- what are the Enforcing Authorities look-ing for- a focus on up to the minute issues inc re-cent changes / charging for visits

The emerging science of Behavioural Economics is increasing our understanding of the way we make decisions. This knowledge is helping businesses develop more profitable models, regulators more effective controls and governments more efficient incentives.

This session will look at the theories underpinning the science and consider some of the more common decision errors. By the end of the seminar you will have a greater insight into the flaws in your own decision-making processes and those of the people around you.
