We’re delighted to have Dr Peter Floyd, co-founder and former Managing Director of Risk and Policy Analysts, with us for the morning. RPA is an independent consultancy and has built up an enviable reputation in the fields of environment, economics, chemicals, EU policy and sustainability. Based In Loddon, RPA’s main clients include the European Commission, UK Government and major international companies. They recently became an employee owned company through the establishment of an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), this was not a quick process and was in fact the culmination of many years of various attempt to pass RPA into new ownership. Peter will outline his journey as well as highlighting some of the pros and cons of establishing an EOT. Our guest speaker, Kate Pigeon-Owen, will be talking on Embracing the Menopause and why we need to create a menopause-friendly workplace.
Kate will look at the easy changes that can be implemented in your company. Kate’s career started in the City, working for Extel Financial, part of the Financial Times, working with accountants, solicitors and financial institutions. Since then Kate has run a successful Stress Management company in London, before moving to Norfolk and setting up Wellbeing International Ltd, offering training and consultancy in the UK, Canada and the Far East.
As a manager, Kate knows and understands the responsibilities of looking after the needs of her team and has many years’ experience of working in the corporate, statutory and voluntary sectors.She trained as a counsellor and has worked for charities such as Turning Point assisting with Relapse Prevention, low self-esteem and addiction issues. She is a facilitator of international accredited trainings in communication with the IAIM and was a founding member of a Suffolk Charity school.
Kate has appeared on television and BBC Norfolk radio, Woman’s Hour, and published articles on education, stress and massage in many publications including the East Anglian Daily Times and Organic Life magazine.

This course has been designed to ensure that supervisors, owners, team leaders and managers are aware of their health and safety responsibilities in improving the Health and Safety Culture or that of their organisations. It provides an opportunity to look more deeply into general health and safety from a supervisory perspective.
