Local social enterprise, Rippleacts CIC have launched ‘Neurodiversity at Work’ training, designed to help businesses and nonprofits create more inclusive and supportive working environments for neurodivergent employees.
Supported by funding from the UEA Enterprise Fund, the training has been co-created with and is delivered by people with lived experience of neurodiverse conditions. This has been done to ensure that the content accurately reflects authentic voices, real needs and offers practical solutions.
Founded by Verena Niyadurupola in 2022, Rippleacts supports people who are long term unemployed back into work through coaching, projects that help the local community and peer mentoring.
“We recognised that many of the barriers people were facing weren’t about ability, but about a lack of inclusive support in workplaces,” said founder Verena Niyadurupola. “By working directly with neurodiverse people to co-create this training, we’re giving employers the tools they need to build environments where everyone can thrive.”
The training was officially launched at Norwich City Community Sports Foundation’s staff conference last week and is now available to book online.
Believing that inclusive employment benefits everyone, Rippleacts is offering a discounted rate for nonprofits and a flat rate for all businesses. As a social enterprise, all of their profits are reinvested back into their services which means that when you pay a fee for training, you know it is going towards supporting people back into work.
If you want to learn more about how you can support your neurodivergent colleagues whilst making a positive impact, book your training here
This week the team at Access Diagnostic Tests met the corporate fundraiser for the East Coast Hospice Joanna Storey and found out more about the hospice appeal and how we will be helping them this year. Everyone was very excited and is looking forward to getting involved. The appeal is the raise funds to build a hospice on the east coast of Norfolk at Gorleston near Great Yarmouth. The land has already been purchased and they are now in the process of raising the money to build and fit out the building.
‘This is a cause close to our hearts’ company director Kate Garside said. As myself and the other founding director are both doctors, we have seen how important the work of hospices are first hand, and believe this is a very worthy cause for us to get behind both personally, and as a medical supply company.
We are selling a stethoscope in aid of the appeal through our medical supplies website Valuemed.

Workplace drug testing has long been a vital tool for Norfolk employers looking to protect their staff, maintain productivity, and comply with health and safety regulations. Most Norfolk businesses rely on standard drug test panels that screen for well-known substances such as Cannabis, Cocaine, and Opiates. But new research suggests there may be a blind spot in many UK companies drug testing policies — one that could leave employers exposed to rising risks.
An increasingly popular drug among young people is slipping under the radar of standard workplace testing. Not only is its use on the rise, but reports also show it is now being used to bulk out more expensive substances like Cocaine and MDMA. This means many users don’t even realise they’ve taken it, making the risks in workplace environments even harder to manage. The effects include impaired judgement, slower reaction times, and disorientation — all of which can pose serious safety issues, particularly in industries involving machinery, driving, or manual work.
For employers, the implications are clear: failing to your drug testing policy could mean missing a substance that directly impacts staff wellbeing, workplace safety, and overall performance. Businesses employing younger demographics or operating in safety-critical roles are especially advised to review their drug screening policies.
Comprehensive drug testing kits that include emerging substances are already available, including ultra-sensitive drug test kit panels designed to give employers full peace of mind. Taking proactive steps now could protect your business from costly accidents, absenteeism, or compliance issues in the future.
I hope you’re all well and looking forward to taking some time off over Christmas.
My name is Will George and I run a video production agency in Norfolk called Rolling Wave Media. I have had the agency just over a year, but been a freelance videographer since 2022 after I graduated from Norwich University of the Arts where I also studied film production.
We work with businesses all over Norfolk to help them solve their businesses problems with creative video solutions. This can be anything from producing landing page videos to make your website more engaging, to helping you plan, shoot and deliver a whole bunch of short form content for your socials to increase brand awareness and personal brand, or we can even help with testimonial content to show how you’re businesses is helping your clients or how show off how your company is an amazing employer in order to attract future employees. But just because what your business might need wasn’t mentioned in that small list above doesn’t mean we can’t help you out with it, because a large part of my job is to be a problem solver so we can help your ideas and visions come to life no matter the size of the project.
Some of our clients include Mattishall Golf Club, Who’s the Ref, Age UK and Bullards Gin.
Outside of work I am a passionate Norwich City Fan (and even have my own brick at Carrow Road), and if any of you want to chat about the weekends match, I am always up for a chat. Another one of the sports I love is F1 too and it was even an early dream of mine to film and work for one of the teams and even used to film other race categories such as GB3 for a few years.
I am frequent cinema goer too, so if an email goes unanswered for a few hours that will most probably where I will be! Despite being 25 I am still a massive nerd who love’s reading comic books, playing video games and playing Dungeons and Dragons and will say having these passions and hobbies also helps me out creatively with work too. Something else I am hugely passionate about is live music too and have been able to go to some amazing concerts this year including Oasis and Linkin Park.
Something else I am doing currently is training for the London marathon with my Dad in which we will be running for Break and will be one of the biggest challenges I have ever done, so if any of your are runners I am always open for tips and advice on that too.
I really can’t wait to meet you all virtually or in person at the hub or networking events in the future, but if any of you want to have a chat with me about video production, football or any of my other interests drop me an email or message me on LinkedIn and lets grab or a coffee or jump on a zoom.

In July 2025, IEMA became ISEP (The Institute of Sustainability and Environmental Professionals).
What is ISEP?
ISEP is the global membership body that sets the standard in sustainability knowledge, skills and practice.
Whether sustainability is at the heart of what you do, an essential element or you just want to support change, ISEP training provides learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to make a positive impact on business, society and the environment – backed by globally recognised standards, resources and professional networks.
Jarrold Training is proud and excited to be part of this new chapter as we partner with ISEP in equipping sustainability and environmental professionals for the present…and the future.
Why is ISEP important?
Climate change and environmental breakdown are the biggest risks facing business and society. There is urgent need to upskill the global workforce to deliver practical and achievable solutions to the unfolding environmental crisis.
How will the change from IEMA to ISEP affect learners?
The names of ISEP training courses will be slightly different to reflect the new brand, however the content, syllabus and learning outcomes will not change:
IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (AIEMA) becomes: ISEP Foundation Certificate in Sustainability & Environmental Management (AISEP)
IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (PIEMA) becomes: ISEP Certificate in Sustainability & Environmental Management (PISEP)
The other main change will be the switch to the new post-nominals/suffix for learners that qualify for membership.
The new ISEP suffixes will undergo a simple transition from IEMA to ISEP, with some variations.
As a new Chamber member I thought I would give a quick intro to what I do.
So, let’s get the business stuff done first, then I can get to more interesting things!
