Winter, and Christmas, can be a difficult time for those who are struggling and for the veterans Walking With The Wounded support, especially so.
Walking Home is Walking With The Wounded’s annual winter fundraising campaign. After a decade of walking and raising over £2 million to support veterans and their families, we are introducing a new era of our annual fundraising campaign.
This year, Walking Home focuses on ‘Let’s Talk’ because mental health is an important but tough topic to start a conversation about. We want to change that.
Take on a sponsored walk with friends, family or colleagues somewhere important to you. No minimum distance is required, and there is no set fundraising target. Every step taken and penny raised will support veterans and their families across the UK.
HOW TO TAKE PART?
Sign Up – Create your fundraising page and start planning your Walking Home challenge.
Fundraise – Join forces with family, friends and colleagues to raise money.
Walk – Big or small, it’s time to put your walk into motion.
Make a difference – Your donations help us to reignite the sense of purpose of ex-servicemen and women
WHY TAKE PART?
Networking – Spend time with colleagues and business connections while doing good.
Mental Health – Walking can improve you and your team’s well-being, relieve anxiety and depression and spark creativity.
Promotion – Use it as a tool to engage staff or customers and show your company’s support for ex-military.
Impact – You’ll support ex-servicemen and women who’ve walked in far more dangerous places for us.
