Course Title; Level 4 in Award in Managing Food Safety REFRESHER
Aim; To refresh delegates on how to put food safety management systems in to place, through detailed understanding of the hazards, legal requirements (including HACCP) and the issues surrounding the implementation of control measures.
Objectives;* Understand the meaning of ‘management of food safety’, and the elements of a management system, including HACCP.* Detailed understanding of the four main hazards; biological, allergens, chemical and physical.* Understand the format of UK and European food safety legislation.* Understanding operational procedures for cleaning and disinfection, pest control, design and construction of facilities etc.* Managing people; information, training, supervision etc.* Maintaining food safety management procedures; monitoring and verification.* Liaise with enforcement officers* Have sufficient technical knowledge to deliver level 1 and 2 food hygiene training (with appropriate training skills)

Working with Majestic Wines, OPEN Norwich, will bring you over 100 different wines from around the world, including a few from off the beaten track.
Plus there will be local winery tastings and a chance to try some wine based cocktails.
Included in the ticket price will be a booklet listing wines, cheeses and chutneys packed with information for you to make your own notes.
Throughout this event our bars operate on a token system which can be purchased either by cash or card upon entry.
At each session you will be able to purchase a book of 20 tokens for £20 to be exchanged for either wine or cheese and cheese related products.
Wine will be grouped in categories, red, amber and green and priced accordingly. Within each group you will be able to purchase a taster for a (50 ml), a small glass (125 ml) or a large glass of wine (250 ml).
If you find a wine you like you will be able to order a case to be delivered to your home. Majestics Wine are offering £10 off a case of any 12 bottles ordered on the night.

To provide delegates with the training, skills and knowledge in emergency first aid and comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
Suitable for any person nominated by their employer as an Appointed Person in the workplace.
All delegates will be awarded a Norvic certificate of attendance accredited by Qualsafe Awards who are recognised by Ofqual. It is valid for three years.

Role and responsibility of first aider Introduction to first aid The recovery position Heart attack Choking Burns and scalds Incident management and safety Basic life support Adult and paediatric resuscitation Control of bleeding and shock Simple record keeping and first aid equipment.

This course has specifically been developed for managers and supervisors in medium and large manufacturing or catering businesses.
This three-day course covers Legislation, supervisory management temperature control (chilling, and cooking), cleaning, contamination control, applying and monitoring good hygiene practices, implementing good food safety procedures, contributing to the safety training of others. This course is certified by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH).
This course is being delivered at South Green Park, Mattishall and is charged at £295 + VAT/person.
