Video is taking over, in fact by 2019 it is predicted 80% of all internet traffic will be video, so if you’re not already using it you’re in danger of getting left behind. In an age where everyone is capable of creating their own material, video content faces enormous competition to stand out from the crowd.
To shed some light on this powerful marketing tool, the Chamber is delighted to welcome Charlie Gauvain from Eye Film, to our Norwich Business Breakfast who will explain how to develop a bespoke and compelling video strategy that’s right for your business. Charlie will suggest how you can sharpen your own video production, or when the right time is to consult a professional, so that you can ensure your video content is engaging, exciting and generates a return on your investment.
More about Charlie:
Charlie is the MD at Eye Film, and has produced over 100 hours of television and online content. He was spotted by the founder of Eye film Frank Prendergast in 1998, having already established himself with production credentials on huge films such as Independence Day. Since then, Charlie has produced video content for C4, ITV, BBC and Animal Planet and has represented the East on The Producers Alliance of Cinema and Television’s Board (PACT). Since 2000, the company has been BAFTA nominated, won three creative industry awards and a Royal Television Society award and worked with the likes of David Attenborough.
Coming from the documentary industry, he knows how to produce the most beautifully shot, engaging content that can make the difference between having material that resonates with consumers and gets shared and talked about to being lost in the noisy world of digital media.

Business Shaper Group and New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) have announced the launch of 50 major new Business Roadshows, across Norfolk and Suffolk, from April – November, to benefit hundreds of companies, accessing grants and funding to help them grow.
The Roadshow takes place in Bury St Edmunds at the Clarice House at 4pm until 7pm, and will help to highlight the wealth of grants, funding opportunities, free business support and training available to business owners as they prepare their organisations for the future.
“For a young business like AT Power, finding the right advice, support and funding to grow is difficult. Attending the Business Roadshow in December last year, we were able to understand all the different types of funding options, grants and support available to small businesses. We accessed a £3000 grant from the Manufacturing Advisory Service, which has helped us increase turnover by over by £75,000 in two months. We also have pipeline of business in excess of £600,000, all with the help and guidance of Business Shaper Group. I would strongly advise any business looking to grow in 2014, to attend the Business Roadshow”, said Andy Clifton managing director of AT Power.
This is an Adapt business start-up event for all building sectors, from architects to plumbers. The event will cover everything you need to know about starting a business, and will feature presentations from legal and accountancy experts.
The Centre for the Built Environment (CBE) team, part of the University of East Anglia’s Adapt Low Carbon Group, has partnered with law firm and solicitors Howes Percival and accountancy firm Larking Gowen to produce this bespoke event on May 13.
Focusing on the key legal and financial aspects of starting a business, the CBE team will demonstrate how using sustainable materials and practises can give new and established businesses a distinct advantage.
The event is aimed at any entrepreneur with a vision of starting a business in the built environment – from building concept and design through construction to occupancy and management. The CBE team are highly experienced in the benefits of low energy building design such as Passivhaus and BREEAM and have cutting edge knowledge regarding uses for natural materials.
The event will also be used to launch a competition for entrepreneurs in the built environment sector, who are being offered the opportunity to win incubation space for a start-up business in The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia.
To enter the competition, entrepreneurs planning on setting up a business are asked to attend the event on 13 May, before filling out an online entry describing why The Enterprise Centre is the right building for their business.
