About Mike:
Mike is the former UK General Manager of BT Business Specialist Sales. In 2001, Mike left BT to become a founding MD of the independent BT Local Business channel. A channel used to manage 1.2million UK business customers and in excess of £1billion of BT income through 42 contracted independent companies. Mike now has several business interests from technology, people and team development and event management (especially F1 hospitality) – as a result his business and his people need to remain connected wherever, whenever and however they choose. More recently Mike is bringing this expertise back home to Norfolk, its business and social community.
The ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management has been developed for middle managers who want to improve their leadership and management skillset and become more confident and effective in their role.

The Super Bowl Challenge continues to be one of our busiest events and this year will be no exception – we’re taking up all the lanes at Namco Norwich for our annual bowl off. Whether you want to strengthen the connections in a team of your colleagues, or join forces with other Chamber members, this evening event offers a fun, relaxed environment to get your businesses name out there and show off your skills on the lanes.
The evening will consist of bowling, a delicious buffet, drink voucher and a medal ceremony at the end to crown the best bowlers, with competitions and prizes to be won throughout.
There is the option for businesses to secure a full lane and form a team of 8, or individuals/teams of less than 8 can come along and be a part of mixed teams made up of Chamber members.

Location: Carrowbreck House, 7 Carrowbreck Road, Norwich, NR6 5FA. This course is aimed at providing employees who have been nominated as fire marshals or fire wardens with the knowledge and skills to carry out their duties effectively. This course is delivered by qualified fire fighters. It is designed to provide delegates with an awareness of the requirements and implications of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, in addition to the general issues regarding fire safety. Delegates will learn the common causes of fires and how fires spread, in order that they may take this knowledge back to their workplace or area of responsibility to reduce the risk of fires starting or spreading, together with emergency procedures to be followed in case of fire. Duration: Half-day course (9:30am to 12:30pm approximately) Equipment: No equipment is necessary for you to bring to this course. Pens and note paper will be available. Lunch provided: If you are also attending the Fire Extinguisher Training course in the afternoon a sandwich lunch with crisps, cakes and fruit will be provided. Refreshments will be available throughout the duration of this course if only attending the morning.
