East Anglian Air Ambulance named Power Different’s charity partner for 2026
Power Different is marking its 10th year in business by naming East Anglian Air Ambulance as its charity partner for 2026.
Supporting the community has always been important to the team, but the 10-year milestone prompted a wider conversation about how Power Different could make its contribution more focused.
The result was a decision to move away from ad hoc support and commit to one charity for the year, giving the team the opportunity to learn more about its work, build a meaningful relationship and contribute consistently.
A partnership that makes sense
We have already worked with East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) completing solar installations at 92kWp to help reduce energy costs and support the charity’s wider sustainability goals.
But the alignment runs deeper than that.
This partnership is a natural extension of what already matters to the people behind the business.
Power Different’s Business Development Manager, Andrew Nason said: “We’ve always tried to give back where we can but this felt like the right time to do it more intentionally.
“When you see the kind of work these teams are doing – the pressure they’re under, the situations they’re walking into – it changes your perspective.
“This isn’t just a good cause. It’s something our community depends on every single day.
“We wanted to commit to one partner and get behind them in a meaningful way. East Anglian Air Ambulance was the obvious choice.”
Why the work of the EAAA matters
East Anglian Air Ambulance is called out to emergencies far more often than most people realise, typically six to eight times a day.
Every time that helicopter lifts off, it costs in the region of £5,000.
And unlike many services people assume are publicly funded, it relies heavily on charitable support to keep operating.
Behind that is a team delivering advanced critical care in the most challenging environments – often at the roadside, under pressure and in situations where minutes make the difference.
Turning a milestone into something meaningful
For Power Different, this partnership is about doing something properly.
As a local business, the team has always believed in being part of the community, not just working within it. But 2026 is a chance to step that up – to focus effort, time and energy behind one cause and make it count.
We are now planning a series of activities throughout the year to raise funds, build awareness and support the charity’s work.
Looking ahead as Power Different marks 10 years supporting businesses with commercial solar power systems
Power Different’s 10th year is a milestone worth marking. And, aside from some of the celebrations we have planned, we are looking forward to using that moment to support a service that shows up in the moments that matter most.
More will be shared about our partnership with the EAAA and our 10th year celebrations in the coming months as plans take shape.
About Power Different
Power Different helps businesses take control of their energy costs with commercial solar and battery storage systems designed around real usage data.
Many organisations are facing rising, unpredictable energy bills but don’t have clear answers on whether solar will actually work for their site. Generic calculators and rough estimates often lead to poor decisions or missed opportunities.
Power Different solves this by starting with a detailed financial feasibility analysis. Using real consumption data, the team models system performance, cost, and return – so you can see exactly what’s possible before making a commitment
From there, Power Different designs and installs high-performance solar and battery systems built for long-term reliability and measurable savings.
