Walk with us. Help make sure no one faces their darkest moment alone
Every day, thousands of people across the UK face thoughts of suicide or find themselves trapped in their darkest moments. For them, night can feel endless, and the silence unbearable. But as Samaritans remind us every single day, no one has to face that darkness alone.
You don’t need to be an experienced walker. Just bring your determination, your compassion, and perhaps a friend or two. Together, every mile we cover will send a powerful message: there is always someone ready to listen.
- Event: Norwich Samaritans Dawn Walk – Whitlingham County Park – Sunday 11th October.
-
What we’re doing: Walking 5km as the sun rises to symbolise hope, recovery, and turning the page on darkness.
- Why it matters: Every £10 raised helps Samaritans answer a life-saving call from someone who feels they have nowhere else to turn.
We will gather while the rest of the world is still sleeping, step into the cool morning air, and walk together as dawn breaks. It isn’t just a physical walk—it’s a powerful statement of solidarity. It’s a way of saying to anyone struggling: your life matters, and sunrise is coming.
Whether you want to remember a loved one, support a cause close to your heart, or simply be part of an unforgettable morning, your presence will make a real difference.
