New free AI governance Knowledge Hub helps organisations make AI use visible
AIGMS™ (Artificial Intelligence Governance Management System) has launched a free online Knowledge Hub to help UK organisations move from informal AI use to clearer ownership, proportionate Safeguards and useful evidence.
AI may already be part of ordinary work within your organisation. A colleague might use a chatbot to draft customer replies, a manager may rely on an AI generated summary or a software supplier may introduce an AI feature through an update.
None of this necessarily means the organisation has done something wrong. It does mean leaders may need a reliable way to answer some basic questions:
• Where is AI being used?
• Who is accountable for each use?
• What information goes into it?
• What could it affect?
• What evidence shows how it is governed?
The Knowledge Hub brings AIGMS™ guidance, practical explanations and free resources together in one place. It shows organisations how to create an Activity Register, assign an Accountable Person to each AI Activity, use Consequence Profiling, select proportionate Safeguards and keep evidence current through Assurance Review.
Visitors can begin with an overview of the governance cycle or go directly to a practical next step. The hub includes a free Starter Guide and the Quick Win AI Safeguards tool, which provides immediate prompts for an organisation’s current AI use.
AIGMS™ was created for organisations that use AI in day to day operations and need a manageable way to govern it without building a specialist bureaucracy. It is an independently created governance management system rather than a standard. It does not provide legal advice or guarantee compliance.
If your organisation uses AI for drafting, analysis, decision support, automation or interaction, the first useful step is to make that use visible.
