Marshalls Secures Next Phase of Growth Thanks to Funding By Chatsbrook
Norfolk waste management company Marshalls is continuing its
expansion after securing further asset funding from independent finance
specialist Chatsbrook.
The latest funding has enabled Marshalls to add a new
3.5-tonne Luton van with a tail lift to its growing fleet, opening up larger
waste-clearance jobs and allowing the company to provide operational support to
larger waste collectors.
It is the latest stage in an ongoing relationship
between the two Norfolk businesses, with Marshalls using Chatsbrook to finance
the bins and vehicles needed to expand its operations.
To date, Chatsbrook has helped Marshalls fund its first
Luton vehicles and approximately 150 commercial waste bins that have all hit
the ground and are in use by businesses across the county, including a second
round of bin funding as demand for the company’s regular commercial collection
services has grown.
The latest vehicle investment came after Marshalls
identified increasing opportunities for larger commercial waste-clearance work
and operational support jobs for other waste-management companies.
The team approached Chatsbrook to explore how it could
finance a larger vehicle capable of handling this work. The result is a
3.5-tonne Luton van with a tail lift, significantly increasing the size and
type of jobs Marshalls can undertake.
As well as larger commercial and
residential clearances, the vehicle allows Marshalls to work alongside larger
waste collectors that need additional local operational capacity, including
collections, clearances and logistical support.
Established in October 2025 by Ryan Marshall & Rechenda
Smith, Marshalls is an independent commercial waste-management company serving
organisations across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Alongside its growing network of
regular commercial bin collections, the company provides commercial and
residential waste clearances, waste audits, consultancy and compliance,
specialist waste streams and operational support.
Ryan Marshall, Managing Director of Marshalls, said:
“Chatsbrook have supported us as we’ve grown, helping us finance the physical
assets we need to turn opportunities into actual services. When we started
seeing opportunities for larger clearance jobs and operational support work, we
knew we needed a bigger vehicle. We spoke to Chatsbrook about what we were
trying to achieve and they worked with us to find an option that made sense.
“The new Luton with its tail lift gives us much more
capability. At the same time, the additional bin funding means we can keep
expanding our regular commercial collection rounds. Both are important parts of
where we’re taking Marshalls.”

Rechenda Smith, Marketing & Partnerships Director at
Marshalls, added: “Growth in waste management is very tangible. You can win the
customers and identify the opportunities, but ultimately you need the bins and
vehicles to service them. That’s where our relationship with Chatsbrook has
been so valuable. We’ve been able to use asset finance to invest in the
infrastructure we need as Marshalls grows, rather than allowing the cost of
those assets to restrict our expansion.”
Established in 2016, Chatsbrook Finance is an independent
finance company based at Ketteringham Hall, near Norwich, providing tailored
funding solutions to businesses and individuals. The firm specialises in
vehicle, asset and business finance, helping businesses access funding for
everything from vehicles, machinery and equipment to cash flow, business loans,
invoice finance and property.
The partnership with Chatsbrook comes as Marshalls continues
to expand its customer base and collection network across Norfolk, with further
growth into Suffolk forming part of the company’s longer-term plans.
Adrian Brooks, Managing Director of Chatsbrook, said:
“Marshalls is a great example of the type of ambitious, growing local business
we enjoy working with. Ryan and the Rechenda have a very clear idea of where
they want to take the company and, importantly, what they need in order to get
there.”
Chatsbrook works across a diverse range of sectors including
transport and logistics, construction, agriculture, engineering and
manufacturing, renewable energy and leisure.
With a focus on building long-term client relationships and
providing a personal, tailored approach to finance, Chatsbrook had supported
more than 250 SMEs by 2025, primarily across the local region, with a lending
book worth £5 million.
