We’ve put Norfolk Events forward for the East Anglian Marketing Awards – Excellence in
Innovation and Excellence in Storytelling and we wanted to share a little of
why.
When we started this, we weren’t sure anyone would care. Norfolk has an
incredible events scene: festivals, markets, gigs, community gatherings, but no
single place where people could reliably find them. So we built one, and then
we waited to see if it mattered to anyone other than us.
It did. More than we expected.
Over 200 event organisers came onboard – many of them small, independent,
community-led – and trusted a brand new platform with something they’d poured
real effort into. Thousands of visitors followed. Events got found that might
otherwise have gone unnoticed. Stories got told.
That’s what we put forward for this award. Not a clever strategy or a polished
campaign, but the slow, genuine work of building trust with a community, one
event at a time.
We’re proud of it. And we’re grateful to every organiser who listed with us,
and every person who used the platform to find something worth going to.
