Could you be our next trustee?
At Break, we believe that no young person should feel alone in the world — and every day, we work to make sure they don’t.
We walk alongside children and young people in, around and leaving care, offering them the support, stability and opportunities they need to build brighter futures. From fostering and residential homes to mentoring and lifelong support, our work is rooted in one simple belief: with the right care, there is no limit to what a young person can achieve.
Now, we’re looking for someone to join our Board of Trustees who can help us take that mission even further.
Join us and help shape our future
We are currently recruiting for a Trustee — an important leadership role that will help guide Break’s long-term sustainability and impact.
As a trustee, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the charity is well-governed and continues to deliver on its purpose. You’ll work alongside our Board and senior leadership team to help shape our strategic direction, support effective decision-making, and ensure we remain accountable and focused on delivering the best outcomes for young people.
This is a unique opportunity to use your skills and experience in a way that directly changes lives.
Why Break?
We’ve been supporting young people across Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire for more than 50 years, developing innovative services that respond to their needs at every stage of their journey.
Our approach is different because it’s built on lifelong relationships. We stay alongside young people for as long as they need us, helping them build confidence, form meaningful connections and access new opportunities.
But none of this would be possible without the people behind our organisation.
Bringing your expertise to a role with purpose
We know that strong governance is essential to delivering meaningful impact. That’s why we’re seeking individuals who can bring financial expertise, strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset to our Board.
You don’t need to come from the charity sector to make a difference. If you have experience in finance, leadership or governance, and a passion for helping young people thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
This is a chance to step into a role where your insight will influence not just organisational decisions, but real-life outcomes for children and young people across our region.
Could this be you?
Becoming a trustee is a powerful way to give back — sharing your expertise, broadening your experience and helping to shape the future of an organisation that is making a real difference.
If you’re ready to use your skills for good and help us continue to care differently, we’d love to hear from you.
