The search is on for Broadland and South Norfolk’s top
companies, entrepreneurs and employers, as nominations open for the districts’
Business Awards on 26 October.
The annual awards recognise those making an outstanding
contribution to the local economy, celebrating success, innovation and growth
across a wide range of sectors.
From new ventures and independent retailers to established
manufacturers and tourism operators, entrants will compete for recognition at
one of the area’s leading celebrations of enterprise.
Councillor Martin Booth, Cabinet Member for Economic
Development at Broadland District Council, said:
“These awards are a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the
businesses that help our districts thrive. Every year we are inspired by the
innovation, dedication and entrepreneurial spirit shown by local companies, and
we want to hear about the businesses making a real difference in our
communities.”
Councillor Lisa Overton-Neal, Cabinet Member for Economic
Growth at South Norfolk Council, added:
“Broadland and South Norfolk are home to an incredibly
diverse and dynamic business community. These awards recognise excellence and
celebrate the people behind the businesses that create jobs, invest in their
communities and contribute so much to our local economy.
“We know there are some remarkable success stories across
our districts and I encourage businesses to enter and residents to support the
awards by voting in the public categories.”
Businesses are invited to nominate themselves in the
following categories: Business Growth, Business Innovation, Employer of the
Year, Environmental Impact, Food and Drink Producer of the Year, Insurance,
Financial or Professional Services, Manufacturing and Engineering Business of
the Year, New Business, Small Business of the Year and Tourism Business of the
Year.
As in previous years, residents will also have the chance to
support their favourite local businesses through the popular Retailer of the
Year and Pub of the Year awards. Everyone who votes in these categories will be
entered into a prize draw for the chance to win shopping and pub vouchers.
Nominations close on the 10 December, with finalists invited
to attend the awards ceremony at Norwich City Football Club on 4 March 2027.
