The Hamlet supports and enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities and their families at three specialist locations in Norwich. Established in 1972 the charity has evolved from a humble toy library into one that offers a range of high-quality specialist services for children and adults from birth. The children and young people who access our services have a range of profound disabilities and complex health needs, some of whom are in receipt of palliative care or have an acquired head injury. Their illness, disability and/ or sensory impairments means that they require additional help and support in their day to day lives.
Each year we support over 400 families throughout Norfolk promoting integration and inclusion by breaking down the barriers that often exist for people with disabilities. We work closely with the local authority and other organisations to ensure the best of care and support for our families. Our dedicated and highly trained staff/volunteer team work with other professionals, delivering a range of varied and unique services tailored to suit every individual in receipt of and reliant on our care.

Hautbois House has a range of training facilities including a training room equipped with projector, Wi-Fi and hearing loop, which seats up to 80 theatre style, as well as other training/break out rooms. We can provide full catering for your event with all food cooked on-site. The house has 12 bedrooms (eight en-suite), sleeping a total of 45 guests over two floors. There is a lift providing access to the first floor, leading to four accessible bedrooms, including one with a wet room. In addition, we also have seven campsites on the estate, accommodating up to 340 campers, and a fantastic yurt village.
