This Ofqual regulated, HSE compliant qualification will ensure all learners have the skills and knowledge to serve their organisation as an Emergency First Aider, able to provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.
A range of subjects are covered including:

Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
Basic hygiene in First Aid
Resuscitation and AED awareness
Minor injuries
Bleeding control

The qualification is valid for three years and a certificate will be awarded on completion. As the HSE recommends that learners also undertake Annual Refresher training, this is included in the qualification. For no extra cost, online Annual Refresher training will be sent to learners on the first and second anniversary of their training date. A certificate will be awarded on completion.

Eligibility: These small group in-person workshops are open to any business, freelancer, or charity based in Norfolk or Suffolk.
This course is to guide and advise candidates on the management of food safety in a food business. The Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing provides those in managerial and supervisory positions in food manufacturing businesses (for example business owners, production managers and hygiene auditors) with the in-depth knowledge and understanding to be able to guide and advise on the management of food safety systems and staff in their workplace. It will help candidates to ensure that their business complies with all legal requirements for food safety. This course is aimed at those wishing to deliver food safety qualifications as part of their training provision. It can be accredited as prior learning for those wishing to progress on to a Degree in Food Manufacture.

This course is open to SMEs eligible to our innovation support programme. When signing up to this event, you will be contacted with an eligibility form to complete. We will also ask to see certificate or equivalent for level 3 food safety.

Delivery
This five day course is delivered by the team at The National Centre for Food Manufacturing, Holbeach and will take place at Hethel Engineering Centre, Norfolk (TBC).
Assessment
Assessment is by a 120 minutes exam (Paper A) and a 120 minutes controlled assignment case study (Paper B). Recommended prior knowledge Level 3 / Intermediate Award in Food Safety.

This Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) Level 3 Award course is designed for businesses who need to ensure they are compliant with the Health and Safety at Work Act and have trained first aiders in the workplace.
The course is approved and accredited by Highfield Qualifications and is suitable for employees with designated first aid responsibilities, as well as business owners, managers, and supervisors.
