Norwich’s leading entertainment venue is hosting a business networking event in October in aid of The Benjamin Foundation.
Putt Putt Social in Castle Quarter is the UK’s leading Asian-inspired adventure golf, drink and dining destination and on Monday 21 October from 11am, the venue will be hosting an event to bring businesses in Norwich together and raise money for The Benjamin Foundation.
The charity is one of East Anglia’s largest and specialises in raising money to bring an end to youth homelessness, provide Early Years education, youth and family support, and emotional wellbeing and mental health services.
Johnny Bakewell will be the guest speaker at the event. Bakewell has undertaken a number of endurance challenges over the past years and will be giving a brief speech on his biggest challenges yet, which is to row across the Atlantic Ocean to Antigua setting sail from Tenerife on 1 December arriving in Antigua in the middle of January.
The networking event forms part of The Benjamin Foundation’s Sleep Out Campaign, a fundraising event taking place on 15 November at Norwich Cathedral where supporters of the charity will spend one night sleeping outside to highlight the plight of the homeless in East Anglia and raise funds for the charity at the same time.
Putt Putt Social events manager Sean Hixon said: “We are delighted to host a networking event for such a worthy cause. The team at Putt Putt Social are really keen to do as much as we can to support the community and raise much-need funds for local charities as well as offering networking opportunities for businesses.
“Johnny Bakewell’s talk will be the icing on the cake. Johnny has been taking on endurance challenges for more than 40 years, so it will be interesting to hear about his experiences and how he is preparing for perhaps one of his biggest challenges, rowing across the Atlantic.”

Randlesome said: “I am pleased to be offering a rather unique networking opportunity with Putt Putt Social to local businesses and at the same time supporting such a good cause.”
