Our engagement focus groups are currently in Norwich, Great Yarmouth, and King’s Lynn with more to follow soon. The groups will represent local businesses in the Co.mmunity across the county.
Our aim is to have groups in many cities, towns, market towns, and villages across Norfolk, to connect, support, and give voice to every business in Norfolk. These groups are accessible to all businesses, whether you are a Chambers member or a non-member.
These groups will provide you with a platform to debate issues that are most important to you, and your business and the Chamber network will lobby and influence on your behalf, using our dedicated team, our website, social media channels, and our digital platform.
Your feedback will be used by our team and the Chamber’s Board to help shape the strategic direction of Norfolk Chambers to ensure we can truly be the voice of Norfolk businesses.
Whether the local challenge is skills, road, rail, digital infrastructure, recruitment, or the rising costs of doing business, we want to hear from you.

Join the team from The Sounding Board for a meet-up in the Eat Chat Chill area to find out how The Sounding Board could help you make your next big decision better.
Picture this, talking your big business decision(s) through with someone that has experienced the same as you. Certainly, when it is with someone, better still… two people, who have each built businesses from small teams to, in some cases, thousands of people, facing all the challenges that entails along the way.
By giving you the opportunity to discuss your business challenges, ideas, and successes with like-minded business leaders along with some of The Sounding Board team you’ll get a flavour of how The Sounding Board could help you make your next big decision better.
Richard Ross is a founding director of Chadwicks, a wealth manager and business adviser based at the University of East Anglia. A UEA economics graduate who has studied behavioural economics as a post-graduate, Richard also holds an MBA and a Masters in Wealth Management. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and a Chartered Fellow of the CISI, specialising in helping owners build value in their businesses in preparation for a sale or transfer. He is a past school board member of the UEA Business School, he currently sits on the Strategic Board of the UEA School of Economics and is a trustee of the Norfolk Community Foundation. In response to the pandemic, he founded The Sounding Board, a not-for-profit resource for businesses.
The Sounding Board is a group of entrepreneurs, professional advisors and generally nice people who love the challenge of running businesses and are happy to volunteer their time to try and help. We want to share that knowledge and experience we have of running organisations in order help others with theirs… and raise some money for charity along the way.
There is no charge for The Sounding Board programme of six sessions, typically over 12 weeks, but we do expect a material charitable donation if you have found the experience helpful.
‘Worth every penny, the six sessions we had with Nick and Kevan have been instrumental in transforming & re-structuring our business post COVID’. Hudson Group

Since launching in October 2019, BT’s Skills for Tomorrow programme has delivered practical support to thousands of SMEs across the UK. Due to the spread of the coronavirus and the way this has transformed our working environment, having the skills to do business online is more important than ever.
Build your digital skills when working from home
According to Small Business Britain, 75% of businesses have reported an internal skills gap and as large numbers of people are confined to their homes, many businesses will need ongoing support to build their digital skills as they work from home for the first time.
At a time when many small businesses are navigating new working processes, we’re working with partners such as Google Digital Garage, Small Business Britain, Crowdfunder and many more to provide information, advice and help for people to do business online and to build their digital skills . We’re supporting small businesses to adapt their business model and move online, and want as many people as possible to have access to these training resources.
Whether you want to learn more about promoting your business, or how you can support your team working from home, we’ve got the solution for you.
Learn from industry experts
We know that many businesses rely on events to network, learn and collaborate with their peers. That’s why we’ve ensured that our digital skills programme continues when you need it most. We’ve launched a series of online sessions, so you and your team won’t miss out on this brilliant opportunity to learn from industry experts.
Meet with Paul Vaughan at the B2B Workshop for a live equipment demo, find out more about the online skills sessions and learn about how N&S LB can help your business.
