LinkedIn means lots of different things to different people, but for so many, it remains one of the best ways to find, approach and start conversations with potential clients and prospects.
But how can we do that? With 850 million members, that is a lot of profiles to work through or a lot of frogs to kiss if you prefer to look at it in that way!
In this workshop, we look at 3 key-ways we can try to work LinkedIn to make sure that we are as visible as possible and talking to the right people, allowing you to do what you do best…show them how you can help them and their businesses!

“Effective leadership at all levels is the differential in the most successful organisations. Good leaders can inspire, drive, co-ordinate, engage, empower and enthuse their followers to great things. The followers become the leaders and the cycle continues. It stands to reason then that the impact of poor leadership on organisations is dramatic and costly.”
Alex set up Blue Heron Training in May 2023 to act as an advocate for genuine leadership and positive workplace cultures. Being a leader and manager is a wonderful opportunity to add real value to peoples lives – but it’s not easy. Statistics show that culture led organisations driven by a clear and ethical purpose are 125% more productive and drive 73% more engagement. Purposeful leadership underpinned with strong human principles are central to developing a positive culture that works for you and your people. It is our firm belief that if we can approach every different situation with the right intention, the humility required to always be learning and growing and a set of core skills, every workplace manager can be a success. We set up Blue Heron to help make this happen.
At Blue Heron we know the importance of enjoying life, so we bring you a humanistic approach to people management. We love working with people and we don’t pretend to be something we are not; we are genuine, humble, curious and kind and these characteristics are at the heart of everything we do. That, to us, means building trust and respect, it means being an advocate for you to get what you want, and it means creating a real partnership. We love what we do and we are here to help.

Co.next is delivering a training event to young professionals (35 and under) in Norfolk on understanding your personality.
Join Alex Sellers, Director of Operations at Turning Factor, for this lunch and learn session where there will be live Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MTIB) profiling to learn more about your personality and preferences, as well as other people. Discover how others perceive the world and how you can learn to ‘talk in someone else’s language’.
Come along with friends or colleagues to find out how your personalities complement each other and how you could work better by understanding each other’s true personalities. After this event, you’ll be able to apply your knowledge in the workplace and personally to help you grow and make new connections.
The Government has estimated 100,000 otherwise viable businesses close annually simply because no-one wants to take them on. With 10% of SMEs based in the East, this suggests it is a fate that faces around 10,000 businesses in our region each year.
This session will start by looking at what sets those firms that do successfully navigate a change of ownership apart from those that fail. We will explore why profit and value, while linked, are different and discuss ways of increasing the value of your business.
You should leave the session with a deeper understanding of business valuations, a clearer view of how to create a valuable business, along with some practical first steps.
