Aimee Konieczny is the Commercial Director and Co-Owner of Norwich based energy consultancy Indigo Swan. Starting as an Account Manager, Aimee was promoted through the business until taking up her latest role in July 2022. During her promotions, Aimee worked on her leadership skills and supporting people to grow within the business.
This personal development resulted in Aimee winning “Leader of the Year” at the 2023 Investors in People awards. Aimee was also fortunate to be part of a Management Buy-Out and now co-owns Indigo Swan with 3 fellow Directors. Her main passion is supporting customers with their energy procurement options, while helping them transition their businesses to Net Zero.
What does a business vision for Norfolk look like?
Norfolk Chamber aims to ensure that there is ‘business friendly’ local environment in which our members can operate and prosper. Our four key themes are: Revolution in Technology; Improving Infrastructure; Bridging the Skills Gap; and Economic Trends – all themes aim to support the needs of our members and help them grow.
We are currently working in partnership with the local authorities and the New Anglia LEP to review and update the overall Economic Strategy for Norfolk. It is essential that the updated Strategy is business focussed and is designed to make the most of the opportunities in our region.
To make this strategy robust, we want to hear from small, medium and large businesses about what they need to grow their businesses. Norfolk Chamber are holding a series of roundtable discussions to capture business opinions and needs which will be fed back into the Economic Strategy:

Norfolk Chamber are supporting local schools across Norfolk to deliver a careers event to inspire, motivate and educate students on career opportunities.
This will be an exhibition stand based careers event with over 250 students visiting stands. Exhibition Stands will be free of charge and refreshments will be provided.

Norfolk Chamber has created a new forum where senior business leaders have an opportunity to meet other key influencers to discuss and share experiences and opinions on a quarterly basis.
‘The 1896 Club’ named after the date of incorporation of Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, is an exclusive gathering for Norfolk business leaders with over 50 employees.
The event will be hosted by our President Jonathan Cage, Managing Director, Create Consulting. There will be plenty of time to network with peers over breakfast and a lively debate on the challenges that large businesses face in Norfolk.

Rebecca has a degree in Retail Marketing and has worked in marketing and PR within the retail and tourism industry since 2001, working for the last 10 years for Hoseasons and more recently in the role of Communications Manager for Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK, managing the Business to Business PR and Business to Employee Communications for Hoseasons, Cottages.com and James Villas. Her passion for communication has translated into planning and delivering award-winning initiatives aimed at engaging stakeholders across a range of audiences.

The programme of staged investment will help turn the 115 miles of the A47 into a genuine strategic link.
Government has committed to investment of over £300m for improvements along the A47 for delivery in the early 2020’s. The A47 Alliance’s ultimate goal is full dualling with appropriate grade separation (bridges and flyovers), we will continue to push government to deliver this in the longer term. The estimated cost of a fully dualled A47 is £1.4bn. With a combination of selected improvements, within 20 years there will be 16,890 more jobs in the area, 10,585 new dwellings and an increase of £706m per annum in the economic output (GVA). About Mike:
Mike is the former UK General Manager of BT Business Specialist Sales. In 2001, Mike left BT to become a founding MD of the independent BT Local Business channel. A channel used to manage 1.2million UK business customers and in excess of £1billion of BT income through 42 contracted independent companies. Mike now has several business interests from technology, people and team development and event management (especially F1 hospitality) – as a result his business and his people need to remain connected wherever, whenever and however they choose. More recently Mike is bringing this expertise back home to Norfolk, its business and social community.

The Super Bowl Challenge continues to be one of our busiest events and this year will be no exception – we’re taking up all the lanes at Namco Norwich for our annual bowl off.
