Tiger Eye, a Norwich based IT consultancy firm, have announced ‘Tiger Trek’, their new three-day summer charity fundraising event.
The team at Tiger Eye are inviting local businesses to ‘take a walk on the wild side’ and join them in raising funds for The Benjamin Foundation through ‘netwalking’ across the Norfolk Coast, from Hunstanton to Cromer.
Tiger Trek, which is taking place from the 17th to 19th May, aims to combine Tiger Eye’s award-winning employee wellbeing scheme “PAWS for health” with the company’s charity volunteering scheme.
With corporate teams of up to four participants welcome from each company, Tiger Eye are inviting businesses to ‘walk the walk and talk the talk’ with them, for either one, two or three days of their 3-day trek.
Tiger Eye hopes that the event will inspire local businesses to stretch their legs and restart their fitness regimes, as part of a unique opportunity to network, discuss and engage with local businesses every step of the way.
The firm, which offers Document and Email Management to the professional services sector, hopes that their team will be joined by businesses from all walks of life, to create a networking event that’s just as diverse as the range of clientele their business works with.
As winners of a Gold Accreditation at the Best Employer Eastern Region awards 2018, Tiger Eye recognised that physical exercise and teambuilding were important for their employees’ wellbeing and decided that the walk would be a great way to promote mental and physical health within their own team, as well as the local community.
With community engagement in mind, Tiger Eye decided that all the proceeds from Tiger Trek will be donated to The Benjamin Foundation, who carry out vital work in the community, helping children and young adults deal with many of the challenges that life throws at them. Tiger Trek will feature as part of a number of events and fundraising activities that are being carried out this year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the charity. As well as offering accommodation centres for homeless young people, the charity also provides help and support to help them get their lives back on track.
David Bullock, Director of Client Services at Tiger Eye, said: “We are delighted to announce this exciting event, continuing our longstanding policy of nurturing employee wellbeing as well as increasing our engagement with the local community. We hope that local businesses will join us in recognising the benefits of Tiger Trek for personal wellbeing and mindfulness, as well as raising vital funds for such an important cause.”
‘The Norfolk Coast Path is excited to welcome the Tiger Eye Team, and everyone involved in Tiger Trek, for a weekend of sand dunes, salt marsh and sea air. Along the way, we hope that Trekkers can enjoy the great local produce available from the fantastic cafes, pubs and delis that line the path.’ – Jack Davidson, Trail Officer for the Norfolk Coast Path.
Chris Elliott, Marketing Manager at The Benjamin Foundation stated: “We are delighted that Tiger Eye staff have chosen to support our charity in 2019, which is our 25th anniversary year. With their three-day walk they are truly going the extra mile and the funds raised will help us make a positive difference to many more local young people.”

How Does Fundraising Support Leeway?
At Leeway, the money raised at fundraising events goes towards things like providing activities for those that we support or providing essential items for our residents in refuge.
Many of the people that we support arrive with very few, if any, personal belongings. They often don’t have the chance to bring many of the things that we take for granted like clothes and toiletries. In the case of children, that may mean going without toys, games, and books too.
In recent years, our fundraising activities have helped us to put together starter packs for our new residents, providing essential items like food, clothing and toiletries to help them to get settled in refuge.
This would not be possible without the support that we receive, and we want to continue to be able to deliver this as well as expanding the support that we can provide.
Here are some examples of how your fundraising helps us!
£10 could provide an activity pack and a toy for a child coming into a refuge.
£15 could provide a starter pack for families – such as toiletries and towels.
£20 could provide a mobile phone which can be locked to an emergency number.
£50 could provide 2h phone line crisis advice and support.
£100 could enable 10 women to receive outreach support.
Your support can really help us to make a difference!

Norwich will take centre stage in a powerful national campaign to confront the stigma surrounding suicide when the Baton of Hope tour arrives in the city this September. On Wednesday, 17 September, the symbolic baton—created to inspire hope and drive action in suicide prevention—will be carried through Norwich for the first time as part of a UK-wide relay.
Selected as one of just 20 cities across the UK to host the event, Norwich’s involvement comes during World Suicide Prevention Month. Organisers hope the tour will ignite crucial conversations about mental health and wellbeing, while encouraging local communities, charities, and businesses to show their support.
Designed by renowned goldsmiths Thomas Lyte, official silversmiths to the FA Cup, theBaton of Hope has been described as a mental health counterpart to the Olympic torch. It will be passed between more than 40 baton bearers as it travels through the city, stopping at key landmarks and community spaces including:
– Royal Norfolk Showground (departure point)
– Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts
– Eaton Park
– Norwich Samaritans branch
– Chapelfield Gardens
– Norwich Lanes
– Norwich Cathedral
– Norwich Rail Station
– Norwich City Football Club (final stop)
The event is being led locally by Norwich Samaritans, working in collaboration with local charities and businesses.
Jane Brown, Director of Norwich Samaritans, said: “We’re honoured to host the Baton of Hope and help shine a light on such an important issue. Every suicide leaves families, friends, and communities shattered by the loss. We believe this will be a landmark moment for mental health awareness in Norwich. Our commitment to suicide prevention in the city is long-term and deeply rooted. The Baton of Hope tour is a powerful and moving expression of the strength of feeling across our community—a shared determination to reduce the number of lives lost to suicide. Above all, it reminds us that no one is ever truly alone. Help is out there, and hope is always within reach.”
The Baton of Hope charity was founded by families bereaved by suicide and aims to deliver the UK’s biggest-ever suicide prevention campaign. With suicide remaining the leading cause of death among men under 50 and young people aged 20–34, organisers say the baton’s journey is both a call to action and a message of solidarity.

This project is part of our long-term strategy focusing on sustainability and striving to do better.”
Vantage Zero Limited were Principal Contractor for the new solar array and provided a design and build service in partnership with One Energy and GGRS Energy.
Recently, Chantry Place has partnered with Zest, one of the UK’s fastest-growing EV charging networks, to increase the number of electric vehicle charging points at the Centre.

Let’s face it, Americans love all things British, from the Royal Family to our history and heritage, they just can’t get enough. The American consumer market is no different, as the demand and trust for quality British products has never been higher.
As such, it came as no surprise when a client of ours recently tasked us to turn their product packaging from B2B (Business-to-Business) to B2C (Business-to-Consumer), with the intent to break into the US market.
World leaders in pressure casting technology, our client wanted a brand and logo for their ceramic water filters that not only said something about what their product does, but also had an underlying sense of ‘Britishness’ about it.
We were heavily inspired during the creative process by the Queen’s Guards, a British staple and even went as far as to call the product ‘Coldstream’, a name synonymous with the British Army. A real feature was transforming the ‘A’ in Coldstream into an image depicting the guards, bearskin hat and all. The end result (boasting like a true American) created one of our most on-brief and patriotic branding to date.
The branding followed orders, hit all the right marks and we have received ‘stand to attention’ responses. So if you are looking to add a quality ‘Britishness’ to your packaging, want to march to a different tune, or would like help to stream your brand into international markets, don’t get caught off guard, just drop us a line.

Karl Endersby is a familiar face at Anglian Demolition & Asbestos Ltd after joining the company in January 2015 as contracts assistant and then later being promoted to estimator and senior estimator. People living in Swanton Morley and Dereham are the latest to benefit from enhanced bus services thanks to money received from the Department for Transport (DfT) to improve bus services across the County.
The Fab 4 service operated by Konectbus will begin a brand-new Sunday service on Sunday 19 February with the first bus leaving Swanton Morley at 7:40am. The service runs every two hours until 15:40 and stops at Dereham, East Tuddenham, Longwater, Cringleford and Norwich. The last bus back from Norwich is at 16:14 to Swanton Morley and at 17:25 to Dereham.
There are also two extra journeys which operate from Swanton Morley to Dereham at 8:40am and 17:35pm.
For the rest of the week (Monday to Saturday) the Fab 4 service will benefit from the following extra evening journeys:
19:30 & 21:10 Norwich to Swanton Morley (last bus was previously at 18:25)
This provides a 19:45 and 21:25 pick up at the NNUH useful for those working later shifts.
18:25 & 20:00 – Dereham to Norwich (last bus was previously 17:10)
18:10 & 19:45 – Swanton Morley to Norwich (last bus was previously 16:55)
20:45 & 22:25 – Swanton Morley to Dereham (last bus was previously 16:55)
Cllr Graham Plant, Cabinet Member for Highways, Infrastructure and Transport, said: “Providing later services is something many residents asked for when we developed our bus service improvement plan – so being able to deliver these services to those who wanted them is exactly what the money secured from the DfT is for. Having buses run into the evenings and on a Sunday means more people can make the choice to leave the car at home and use their local bus service – which is key to us achieving our net-zero ambitions.”
A single trip on the services will cost just £2 between January and March as Konectbus are one of the local operators taking part in the fare cap promotion funded by HM Government as part of their Help for Households campaign .
Gavin Smith, Managing Director of Go East Anglia/Konectbus said; “ Konectbus are delighted to have been involved with the BSIP funding project, from initial public consultation to drawing up proposals for bus service enhancements, new services, and improved connections with other transport services across our region. This enhancement is great for people living in Dereham and Swanton Morley and with stops at many key areas of employment such as Longwater retail park and the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital it means more people can choose the bus to get to work.”
This is just one of a number of service enhancements which are being funded by the £49.55 million funding which Norfolk County Council was successful in securing from the Department for Transport (DfT) to use on improving bus services across the County over the next three years.
Approximately £12 million of the funding has been allocated to provide new or expanded bus routes and increase service frequencies on key routes, including more evening and weekend services.
Roads Minister Richard Holden said; “People up and down the country deserve a clean, reliable, and affordable public transport system. That is why we have provided Norfolk County Council with almost £50 million to boost its bus services.
“Supporting Konectbus with providing more frequent services is great for local residents, who will now benefit and be able to make the most of the fantastic work, business and leisure opportunities Norfolk has to offer.”
Sophie joined Hatch Brenner in 2021 and has a wealth of expertise supporting clients relating to the dissolution of marriage and civil partnerships. Since gaining her accreditation, Sophie has been providing advice to clients in Norwich and Norfolk.
Carly graduated in 2006 and began working for Hatch Brenner in 2017. Carly specialises in children’s law, focusing on both private and care concerns relating to children.
