Member Event: White Collar Boxing

An event that promises to offer the audience a glamorous black tie evening of entertainment, fuelled with adrenaline and excitement. Originating in the legendary Gleason’s gym in New York in 1988 the first contest held between Dr Richard Novak an attorney and Dr David Lawrence who held a PhD in English literature.

Some years later the White Collar Boxing event came to the UK to see a team of city banker’s inflicting corporate punishment on each other following only a 10 week training programme. Contestants will exchange their usual ‘day time’ white collar and don shorts, skimpy vests and mouth guards as they ‘face off’ in the ring, each contestant hoping to become our first champion and lift the coveted Roar belt. This tantalising evening will provide an electric atmosphere complemented by a three course meal, a live auction hosted by a celebrity auctioneer and fun packed betting opportunities.
