Primary Engineer® and STEM –Helping to develop the skills for tomorrow – today!Join Norfolk County Council’s Educator Solutions team at Norwich City Football Club, Top of the City room on Thursday 5th May as we introduce the Primary Engineer® programmes across Norfolk. Primary Engineer® winner of the Red Rose Award Skill Provider 2016 is a series of programmes aimed at primary schools (but links with a secondary schools programme)which looks to bring the curriculum to life through engineering. It offers teachers continued professional development in the field of STEM, as well as teaching resources aimed at whole classes. The programme uses a STEM by Stealth approach to practicalMathematics, Science and Literacy through Design andTechnology projects. The programme has been designed to fulfill the requirements of the new curriculum and link each school tolocal engineers who can provide a professional context for learning. Students are encouraged to participate in the Leaders Award for STEM, researching and interviewing visiting engineers to discover what it is to be an engineer, what inspires andmotivates them and what being an engineer ‘looks like’ on a day to day basis.
