We show you how you can flex your approach and your style of communication to your customer’s needs and preferences, not yours, giving you an edge that so many don’t have.

Looking back on your experience of 2020, what did you miss the most in the pandemic – and what did it make you reassess? Have your plans changed? Has the time saved by not having to travel to work given you more leisure or has working from home seen your work/life balance deteriorate.
What about your plans for retirement? The shift to a new phase of life can be a difficult transition at the best of times let alone during a pandemic, but lockdowns have given us a unique opportunity to experience what life after work may feel like.
Shortly before the pandemic hit, we had started to look at what we called Life 2.0 – the way conventional retirement was evolving to become a far more flexible and active Next Act. The coronavirus has given us time to reflect on what really matters, it has shown both the importance of a good work/life balance and how a more flexible approach to work can help us achieve this.
We’ll start with a short presentation looking at some of the emerging trends before breaking into small groups to share thoughts before returning to the main ‘room’ for feedback and wider discussion. The Masterclass will last an hour with the opportunity to continue the conversation.
We hope you’ll leave the session with a clearer view of your Life 2.0

When local HR Consultancy “Human Capital Department” looked at options available for an e-HR platform for their existing and prospective clients, they found that there was a gap in the market for a Cloud HR solution which was user friendly, and low cost but could be tailored to meet client’s requirements.
“We believe that there is a need for an e-HR solution suited to SME’s that can be tailored to their specific organisational requirements and that is low cost and user friendly. We have got together with a software house, and our approach will be to develop one application at a time including; time management and holidays, performance management, training and development etc. and ensure that these modules are integrated and link together”.
Human Capital Department intend to start with the end user in mind, to ensure that they produce something that the market needs, and so would like to reach out to those interested in, or considering introducing an e-HR system, and invite them to attend a “user group meeting”. The meeting will be held at the Kings Lynn Innovation Centre in Kings Lynn on 28th Sept 17 [12:00 – 14:00] to consider what their user requirements might be. [For those unable to attend in person the the meeting will also be available virtually as a zoom meeting].
Anyone interested in attending this meeting should contact:
Dr Helen Fitzhugh, (Norwich Business School, University of East Anglia) will be giving a talk at the CIPD applied research conference on 21 January.
The talk (10:10 – 11:35) will look at ‘The benefits and challenges of increased remote working in relation to police wellbeing and performance: A diary study in an English constabulary’. This diary study, and supporting qualitative insight, examines the experiences of police employees working for an English constabulary during the COVID19 crisis. Initial indications from qualitative feedback suggest that remote working was more beneficial for performance than anticipated.
You can find out more about Dr Fitzhugh’s talk, as well as all of the other interesting talks happening throughout the day and purchase tickets on the event website.
