What positions do our MPs take on energy projects on the East Coast of England?
What roles or offices do our MPs fulfil in the energy sector? Where are the opportunities for growth in the energy sector in the East of England?
What message do you want our MPs to take back to Westminster on behalf of your business?
EEEGR is delighted that we are to be joined by Peter Aldous MP member for Waveney, Dr Therese Coffey member for Suffolk Coastal and Brandon Lewis MP member for Great Yarmouth at a morning of presentations, panel discussions and a question and answer session relating to the threats and potential for the important energy sector in the East of England. Each MP has strategic assets across ports, wind farms, the SNS gas basin and nuclear facilities in the region and each play a central role in stimulating and promoting the energy sector in their own constituencies and at Westminster.
Hear what each of them does within their respective roles for the energy sector, understand how they have been representing the interests of the energy sector in their constituencies and tell them how they can help your business.
This event is relevant for business owners, senior managers and executives, lobbyists, local government officers and key influencers.
With the absence of Christmas markets and fairs due to COVID and the cancellation of our Christmas Fair at Holt Hall, we have moved “online”. Our Online Christmas Marketplace is an online directory full of small businesses, many of whom are local to Norfolk. The directory is remaining live until Christmas and is mailed to our existing mailing list whom would have normally attended our two day fair. It has always been an extremely popular event attracting approximately 3,500 people from across the county. This year, we are encouraging people to shop small and support local.

Businesses across the Great Yarmouth borough are invited to an important businesses breakfast, on Friday, April 7, about the efforts to refurbish Great Yarmouth’s vital tidal defences.
The tidal defences along the River Yare are central to business operations: they are key to reducing the flood risk to valuable business bases, stock and equipment, in addition to the homes of thousands of staff and customers, and to the highways and other infrastructure that keep everything running.
The defences are also an important factor in attracting and sustaining business investment and jobs in key industries that are essential to the prosperity of the local, regional and national economies.
Investment in the defences enables Great Yarmouth to realise its full economic potential and unlock huge opportunities for businesses.
Everyone benefits from Great Yarmouth’s tidal defences, which is why businesses have formed the Tidal Defences Business Partnership: a group of businesses, of various sizes, sectors and locations, which is working closely with Great Yarmouth Borough Council and the Environment Agency to help move the refurbishment works forward as quickly as possible.
All businesses are invited a free business breakfast, kindly sponsored by Norse, where you can:
• Find out more about this vital refurbishment scheme
• Discover the benefits and opportunities for your business
• Tell the Environment Agency about your own aspirations#
• Explore ways you can show support
• Get free advice to improve your flood resilience
This important business breakfast will take place at the Town Hall, on Friday, April 7, from 7.30am to 9.30am. To confirm attendance, please email Bernard Harris via [email protected]
A friendly and informal forum for local business owners. A chance to discuss ideas and gain inspiration from other like-minded people on how to make a business more profitable. The spring business breakfast will focus on how to grow your business through collaboration with other businesses.
