On 29th September 2013 we will be entering a team into the East Anglian Air Ambulance Runway Run for the third consecutive year. After two very successful previous years we are aiming even higher this year. We want to enter a team of 100 runners comprising of businesses and community partners as well our own staff, with the target to raise at least £10,000 for the charity. The event encourages runners of all abilities and offers either a 5km or a 10Km option.
In today’s competitive world, it doesn’t matter if you are a starter business or global international company: the real difference in the performance of your business is how people perform. This is very often forgotten when businesses are looking to grow and improve their profitability.

FREE WORKSHOP – Norfolk Consumer Goods and China Export Workshop – 27th March 3pm – 7pm at HSBC, Meridian Park, Broadland Business Park, in Norwich.
Norfolk County Council is working closely with Suffolk and Essex County Councils, supported by UK Trade and Investment and the China-Britain Business Council, to improve trade links between the east of England and China.
The Norfolk Consumer Goods and China Export Workshop is a free, half day seminar for companies wanting to sell consumer goods in China. With one of the fastest growing economies in the world, an increase in middle earner spending and high demand for consumer goods, there has never been a better time to enter the Chinese market.
The seminar will be led by a number of industry specialists and traders with extensive experience of retail trade with China. The programme will cover consumer trends and behaviours, market research techniques, agent and distributor selection, intellectual property rights and protection, market strategy, developing consumer goods brands for the Chinese market and consumer goods distribution laws.
In addition to the workshop, Norfolk County Council is working with partners to host a trade mission to Jiangsu Province in China, during May 2013 (13th – 18th). We are building the mission around China’s largest International Import Expo, which will take place in Kunshan, near Shanghai.
The mission will represent businesses which operate in the offshore wind, energy management, and green buildings sectors, and will also provide a platform for companies that produce consumer goods. The programme will include one-to-one visits with potential partners and customers in China as well as a series of events at, and around one of China’s largest international trade fairs.
If you are interested in attending the 2013 trade mission to the China Import Expo in Jiangsu, China; or simply want to learn about exporting goods to China, you are welcome to join us on the 27th March.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided.
To book a place at the workshop or for further information, please contact [email protected] or 01603 222710
