Book NowYou no longer need to work – what happens next?
The shift to a new phase of life can be a difficult transition for anyone but it can be unexpectedly tough for business owners.
Our session will look at issues around preparing for life after work with a focus on the particular challenges facing exiting business owners. Suddenly finding your bank balance has more zeros than you’d ever expected to see can be overwhelming. By working with people who have sold their business, inherited a large sum, or simply built value in their retirement assets, Chadwicks have developed an approach that makes sense of amounts that have the potential to change not just your life but those of generations to come.
We’ll start with some investment theory and how we at Chadwicks combine this with our behavioural expertise to create multigenerational solutions that mean you can stop losing sleep over money and start concentrating on the important things in life.
Elizabeth Field, Principal Associate at Mills and Reeve, will discuss the advantages of setting up a Family Investment Company to safeguard assets across generations. Daniel Harvey will take a look at the ecosystem Chadwicks are creating to link experienced business people to exciting scale-up businesses. We’ll finish with a short introduction to the support the Norfolk Community Foundation can provide to philanthropic giving.
Please note that there are two masterclasses on the day available for sign up:
8:15-10:30
12:15-2:30
The Masterclass will last 2 hours with questions. It will be of interest to people who have sold, or are thinking of selling, a business or who have benefited from a large inheritance and their advisers.
Refreshments will be available.
At our 2019 masterclasses we are also encouraging attendees to make a donation to our sponsored charity. There is no charge for the Masterclass, but you may like to consider a donation of £20 to the Ormiston Families MPower projects that supports parents who have had a child taken into care. In 2018 we were chuffed to hand over a cheque for more than £6,000, more than half of which had been raised from these Masterclasses.
The linked article below gives an outline of the incredible work of Alison and everyone at Ormiston Families on the project;
