Aim; To provide a thorough understanding of the need for a structured management approach to health and safety, the key factors in implementing health and safety policy and emphasising the importance of monitoring staff and controls.

*Understand the principles of risk assessment
*Understand the risks and control methods for common workplace hazards

Duration; 3 day programme spent in the classroom.
Exam/Assessment; 60 mark multiple choice examination lasting 2 hours
