Join us at UEA to hear about our work in the tech sector through world leading research, providing talent from across a range of disciplines and how we are engaging with the tech community more generally.

Meet our new Head of Computing Sciences Professor Gerard Parr to hear about his ambitions for the School, learn about what some of our academics and students are up to and take a tour of campus facilities including our new Media Suite.

Presentations will include:

– Introducing UEA’s School of Computing Sciences; including examples of spin-out companies as well as ongoing research from academics and post graduates.

– Paul Gooding (UEA); Discussing collaboration opportunities presented by Digital Humanities at UEA (Paul will also run a tour of UEA’s new Media Suite)

– Adam Vaughan (ehabitation); describing how he worked with a team of UEA Computing Sciences students to develop a prototype app for his business ehabitation.

Also… beer, soft drinks, pizza and a chance to chat. We look forward to seeing you there.

18.30 Jamie Barwick; Programme Manager for the development of UEA’s campus wide Digital Strategy, discussing opportunities for engaging with the tech community to support the UEA’s digital ambitions.
