Member Event: Get Set for Success – Employability Skills Day

CAN YOU HELP OUR YEAR 10 STUDENTS WITH CV AND INTERVIEW SKILLS?

Following previous successful events, we will be holding the ‘Get Set for Success’ Employability Day for Year 10 students during Enrichment Week and are looking for business mentors to work with small groups.

This year it will be on Wednesday 27th June, with two sessions running, one in the morning (9an – 11.30am) and one in the afternoon (1.30pm – 3.45pm) . Each will be two hours long. Mentors can choose to help out at one or both of these sessions, which are supervised at all times by a team of staff.

We provide booklets for both mentors and students, and mentors guide their group through the activities and discussions, covering skills and qualities, the basics of CV writing and interview skills, and ending with a mock interview.

The support from mentors was much appreciated last year and they enjoyed the event – those who can are even returning again this year!
