Who Would Benefit from the Course?

Employees who need to renew a valid First Aid at Work Certificate to comply with requirements to ensure that the delegates have a broad knowledge of First Aid and are competent at treating casualties. Certification lasts for three years.

Important

Students are required to renew their certificate up to three months prior to expiry or no more than 28 days beyond expiry. Students whose certificate is out of date will not be accepted and will have to retake the 3 day First Aid at Work Course.

Course Objectives

During the course, the following elements will be covered:

 Priorities of first aid.  Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation  The unconscious casualty.  Dealing with bleeding and shock.  Burns and scalds.  Eye injuries.  Poisoning.  The use of effective barriers.  Record keeping and accident reporting.  Final Assessment

Duration of Course – 2 days
