First Aid at Work, 3 day, FAA level 3 qualification

This
advanced qualification is the gold standard for workplace first aid and
is ideal for higher-risk industries, larger organisations, or workplaces
with employees who have known medical conditions.
First aiders completing
the three-day course develop broader skills and a greater scope of practice
than those trained on shorter programmes.

The course covers a full range of medical and traumatic emergencies,
including:

– Head injuries
– Eye injuries
– Chest and abdominal trauma
– Severe bleeding
– Sprains, strains and broken bones
– Seizures
– Anaphylaxis
– Heart attack
– Stroke
– Diabetic emergencies
– Management of unconscious casualties, and CPR.

Participants learn how to assess and manage casualties who are conscious but
unwell or injured
, as well as how to respond effectively to
life-threatening emergencies. The training equips first aiders with the
confidence and competence to handle situations far beyond the scope of the
Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.

Training is highly practical and scenario-based, using realistic
situations to help first aiders translate knowledge into calm, effective action
in the real world.

The course is delivered by an experienced NHS doctor with a background in
emergency medicine
and education. The qualification is delivered in
association with NUCO Training, is FAA-certified, HSE-compliant, and
Ofqual-regulated,
and is valid for three years.
